Diamond with a purpose

Jewellery is always a special gift, one which evokes strong emotions and creates a lasting memory. Heyerdahl is one of the world’s leading jeweller designers, and their three stores in Oslo are well known for the broad selection of diamond jewellery. Now, Thomas Heyerdahl presents us with a fantastic diamond ring that will also help give back something to the continent from where the diamonds originate.

Zulu by Heyerdahl is a specially designed and exclusive diamond ring, and all proceeds from its sale will go towards the building of houses with the help of Zulufadder (“Zulu sponsor”). For every ring that is sold, a house will be built. Only 14 rings will be produced and each ring will be engraved with an individual number on the inside. Each of the 14 houses will be the new home for 8 orphan children and 1 adult. When you buy the ring you will be kept informed on the progress of the construction of the house and, when it is complete, you will receive a picture of the finished house and the children who will be able to live there.

As always, Heyerdahl only uses conflict-free diamonds that are certified by the UN and the ring is also made using ecologically extracted pure gold from a special certified mine. The gold is gained without any chemical additives such as mercuric or cyanide and therefore the environment and the living space of the people who live and work there are protected. Due to the limited output of gold per year, only a certain number of products can be made. So not least to this circumstance, Zulu by Heyerdahl attains particular exclusiveness.

The ring could be shipped all over the world, and will be delivered in a special limited edition gift box. The price is EUR 2,490 / USD 3,590
